    WINNETT SENIOR NEWS By Raye Anne Lund Nov 7 - Thirty-four seniors and six take-out orders enjoyed a meal of roast beef, mashed potatoes with brown gravy, corn, relish tray, orange fluff salad, fresh rolls and pumpkin pie cake for dessert. Today was our Veteran’s dinner and program. Gary was the emcee for the program. He read a poem given to him by Kim Tarplee. It was about Veterans who never came home. A very touching tribute.     Flatwillow Homemakers will be having their Christmas meeting on Tuesday December 10 at Melody Whitcher’s home. There will be a gift exchange as well as a potluck. See you on Tuesday. There will be a Winnett/Grass Range Co-op board meeting in Grass Range on December 10 at 5:30 in Grass Range. The first basketball games of the season were held yesterday in Winnett. The Winnett/Grass Range Rams played Roundup. Next weekend, WGR will be at the Broadview/Lavina basketball tournament. Their first game will be on Friday, December 13 against Reed p...

    at Luann Knutson’s home on November 12. She fixed turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy and everyone else brought pot luck to go with it. There were eleven members present and one member absent. Birthdays celebrated in November are Ginger Moore, and Lillian Moore. Luann read the thought for the day called “Family”.     Sept 5 - Twenty-three members, and four take-out orders enjoyed Goulash, Coleslaw, melons, relishes, and Poke Cake for lunch. Honor Society kids will be here next week to play games and socialize with our seniors. Gary and Linda brought zucchini to seniors and Bonnie Manuel brought apples, courtesy of Race Foster, for anyone to take. Mary Meserve won the 50/50 for $7.00.     Flatwillow Homemakers met at Ginger Moore’s home on October 8. A potluck lunch was enjoyed by all. There were no birthdays celebrated in October. Sandi called the meeting to order and led the Pledge to the Flag. Ginger read the thought for the day called “Fun facts about Halloween”.     June 6 - Our menu today was baked ham, company potatoes, watermelon, 7 layer salad, and rhubarb dessert. There were twenty-two present and two take-out orders today.
