    I stayed in Roundup a couple of months last summer. I encountered 3 illegal aliens and complained to the police station, the dispatcher got me in contact with a cop. I told him my complaint. His reply was, “I’m not going to ruin a persons day because of the color of his skin.” Actually I was dumbstruck.     Ah, spring!!! Warmer air, puffy clouds, bird calls and songs, snow and ice melting. Such an uplifting time. But it’s also, as this area so readily knows, times of horrific hail, flood and fire.     Walter Phillip Atkinson, age 74, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2020 at home with his wife Pauline and dog by his side after a lengthy battle with cancer. Walt was born on February 7, 1946 and grew up in Hunterdon County, NJ with the loving guidance of his parents Harold and Eleanor Atkinson. That’s why the American Red Cross is encouraging Roundup residents to make an appointment to donate during a community blood drive at the Musselshell County Ambulance Station on May 4.
