  • Pronto Construction

    Lura Pitman|May 18, 2022

Though they have been in Roundup since 2018, you may not have known that Pronto Construction was a local business. Many locals struggle to find help with their building needs, and the local companies are often on two or three projects already. Pronto is no exception. You will often see the Pronto Trailer at the Hardware store on Main Street. They are currently bid out on contracts until next February with over twenty bathrooms to remodel and a waiting list on porches. I was personally referred...

    May 18, 2022

In recognition of National Senior Fraud Awareness Day on May 15, 2022, the FBI Salt Lake City Field Office is raising awareness about an increase in reporting of cyber scams targeting the elderly in Montana. The FBI Billings Resident Agency has received at least one call a month where victims have lost significant amounts of money in the hundreds of thousands of dollars. “Most of the victims, it totally destroys them because they will refinance their house, take out their savings, their retirement, and they’re left with very little,” said...

  • Letters to the Editor

    May 18, 2022

Dear Editor- I would like to thank the 712 members of the community who voted in the recent school board election, making their voices heard by casting their ballet, and I thank Mrs. Mozqueda and Mr. Bedford for also running for the position of trustee. I recently had a phone conversation with a gentleman in which he stated the reason I lost the election was because of these various letters in print, and my apparent negative connotations towards the District. As I explained to him, and now all of you patient readers; I didn't expect to win the...

  • Rosendale Standing for the Pre-Born

    May 18, 2022

The recent leaking of the draft opinion surrounding the 1973 Roe V Wade decision by the Supreme Court is unprecedented. It is reprehensible that someone would try to use public pressure in an effort to force our Supreme Court Justices into ruling a certain way. While we won't know if the final decision reached by the court will match the prematurely released draft for a few more months, and amidst all of the uncertainty and chaos surrounding this decision, it is comforting to know that we have strong a strong Pro-Life voice in Representative...

  • The War in Ukraine Highlights Two Empires in Decline

    May 18, 2022

Nearly three months into the war Ukraine, events up-ended quite a few assumptions by quite a few people. I count myself in that crowd. I didn't expect Vladimir Putin to order the invasion. When he did, I expected it to go the way of the 2008 Russo-Georgian War -- a quick rout of Ukrainian forces, a stern "don't ever do that again" warning from Putin (as with Ukraine, the Georgia dust-up had to do with attempts to re-conquer seceded, pro-Russian areas), and a quick return to International Relations Business as Usual. When it didn't go that way,...
