I have had the pleasure of serving on the Central Montana Medical Center Cancer Center Committee since its inception in 2022, with the goal to build a cancer center treatment in Lewistown. What this means is, Central Montana patients who are battling cancer would now have the opportunity to receive diagnosis and treatment in Lewistown rather than have to travel to Billings, Great Falls or even further for comprehensive cancer care. The museum is a building that once was a Catholic school from the 1920's to 1950's. Many of the students were borders from out of town. The teachers were Ursuline Nuns, who lived in a house south of the school. The school was eventually closed due to lack of students in 1952. Twenty years later in 1972 the Museum bought the building.
