  • School Faces Tough Choices

    Lura Pitman|Nov 2, 2022

The Roundup Herald recently had an article about some new interest in one of the school's teachers. A request was made for me to follow up and see if there is more information. I went to the district office and spoke to Josiah Mayfield, the new District Superintendent. I asked him if he could shed some light on the issue, and he gave me the schools public statement, attached at the end of the article, which was also published in the Roundup Herald. It seems as if the problem is solving itself...

  • Letters to the Editor

    Nov 2, 2022

The planet Neptune, I bet you never think about it. Neptune is 2.6875 billion miles away from earth. The James Webb telescope that NASA launched Christmas 2021 has sent back photos showing the rings around planet these have not been seen in over thirty years. The Webb has also sent back images to NASA that show 7 of it's 14 moons that encircle the planet. But media is silent. So is our government on any space or ocean exploration. Upon thinking about this total ignoring of modern science, and common sense, I remembered the classic sci-fi film,...

  • Letters to the Editor

    Nov 2, 2022

Montana is currently experiencing a crisis in judicial overreach accountability. Last year, Montana state legislators passed multiple laws to protect Montana students, both those in grade school and in college. The laws were designed to ensure students can speak freely on campus, participate in the exchange of ideas, and experience the full benefits of Title IX’s equal protection for female students. However, instead of enforcing these new laws and protecting our students’ constitutional rights, the Montana Federation of Public Employees (MF...
