  • McCleary's Conoco and Propane

    Lura Pitman|Dec 28, 2022

Twenty-five years ago, in 1997, the Conoco gas station on Main Street opened. The owners, Terry and Denise (McCleary)Watson have employed local folks, and provided a consistent product for the community. The cost of energy has gone up and down many times during those twenty-five years, but never as high as in the last two years. The higher fuel costs have not slowed business for the little station though. The small convenient center and deli have gone strong from day one, to the point of...

  • Publishers Two-Bits

    Dec 28, 2022

Mark Levin, who hosts a weekday radio show in the late afternoon, has been on a witch hunt for the last couple of weeks. I occasionally listen, predominately to the first hour, and I've noticed over the previous year that he has gotten more shrill and sarcastic on his show. His current verbal venom has been directed at Montana's Congressman Matt Rosendale. Besides referring to Congressman Rosendale as a "bloc-head," he has used other derogatory adjectives to describe Congressman Rosendale and Montana. Matt Rosendale and a handful of...

  • Letters to the Editor

    Dec 28, 2022

I woke up this morning not feeling like I was living in my familiar homeland, but in a foreign country I do not recognize.
