Accepting Grant Applications

Applications for grants from the Signal Peak Community Foundation are being accepted until September 15, 2019. Grants will be awarded at the October meeting of the Foundation Board to non-profit organizations located in Musselshell County. The Board’s general guidelines for applications are:

• Grant must be secular, non-profit organizations

• Emphasis on infrastructure related projects

• Preference for projects where sponsoring organization covers part of the project costs

• No operating or personnel costs

• Grant funds to be spent locally if possible

The Signal Peak Community Foundation was established in 2011 and has awarded many grants to non-profit organizations, including county, city and school government departments in Musselshell County. At the May meeting of the Board awards were given to 10 different organizations or local government departments. The largest was $49,300. to Musselshell County Road Department for resurface of Old Divide road.

The are currently 9 college students receiving scholarship that amounted to $16,500. this year. One student lives in Musselshell County and attended Lavina High School. Another was a student at Melstone High School. If a student is attending an out of county high school and resides in Musselshell County that student is eligible for a scholarship. Preference is given to students going into engineering.

Application forms are found on the Signal Peak Community Foundation web site, wwwsignalpeakfoundation.com. Applications are due September 15, 2019. Submit a total of 9 copies of the application form and supporting material to Signal Peak Community Foundation,c/o Sue Olson, 1230 Fattig Creek Road, Roundup, Mt. 59072. The Board will meet on October 7th 2019 at 5:00pm at the city office. Applicants are expected to attend the meeting and answer any questions the Board may have about the project.
