Susie (Storer) Schoen
passed away August 23, 2019 in Fremont, California after a long battle with cancer. She gave it a gallant fight to the end. Susie was born in Billings, Montana, on September 21,1953, and lived for a time on a ranch near Roundup, MT before moving into town. In 1964 Robert (Bob) Storer moved the family to Winnett, MT. Susie graduated from Winnett High School in 1970 and married Robert Busenbark that summer and moved to Bozeman, to attend Montana State University.After graduation from MSU, Susie and Bob moved back to Winnett where Bob became the sheriff for Petroleum County. Susie and Bob divorced in 1979 and Susie went to Billings for about a year before moving to California. There she met and married Donald Schoen and they had two children, Donna and Michael. Susie worked for Van Waters and Rogers for a few years before going to the local landfill as an accountant. Waste Management bought the landfill and she worked for them at their office in Oakland, CA until 2018. Susie was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2000 and battled for 19 years until her passing. Preceding her in death are parents Robert and Gwendolyn (Blake) Storer. She is survived by her children, daughter, Donna and grandson, Shane Silva; her son, Michael; her brother, John (Theresa) Storer; brother, Richard (Kathi) Storer; brother, David; two nephews and three nieces. Per Susie’s wishes, there will be no graveside services. Susie supported breast cancer research and breast cancer awareness for future generations to help find a cure. Any donations made to these causes are greatly needed and appreciated.
