District 6 HRDC is partnering with the Montana Continuum of Care Coalition to help conduct the 2020 Montana Point-in-Time Homeless Survey in our local and six-county areas (Fergus, Golden Valley, Judith Basin, Musselshell, Petroleum and Wheatland counties).
The 2020 Montana Point-in-Time Survey is part of a nationwide initiative and simultaneous effort to identify the number of persons homeless and the number of beds dedicated to homeless persons on a single night during the last week in January.
The survey helps in the planning and allocation of resources our local Montana communities will receive in order to help individuals and families who are homeless or at-risk of becoming homeless.
This year the survey will occur on the evening of Thursday,
January 30th and will end at sunrise on January 31st. Because we live in rural area, the surveys will be available until February 6th for any unsheltered homeless individuals or families missed on the night of the count.
Individuals or families who are homeless, doubling-up, or couch surfing on the night of January 30th may complete a survey at District 6 HRDC’s local office at 300 1st Ave. N., Suite 203 in Lewistown. The surveys will also be available at other local service sites in Lewistown and in Roundup.
If you know anyone who is homeless or is at-risk of becoming homeless and needs help with housing assistance, please call Lewistown’s District 6 HRDC office at (406) 535-7488 or toll free at 1-800-766-3018 for more information.
