Lieutenant Governor Candidate Jon Knokey Visits Roundup

Representing the Tim Fox campaign, Jon Knokey is touring the small towns and communities of Montana to promote Tim Fox for governer in the coming November election. Jon stopped in at the Roundup Record and Tribune after having been to Glasgow, Wolf Point, and Jordan in the same day.

Jon has experience working within a budget. He says his time working for John Deere in corporate strategy was good experience for working within the state budget, as John Deer’s operating budget is seven times Montana’s operating budget. He hopes that his experience would be helpful for making Montana’s fiscal strategies more productive and efficient.

When asked why we should support Tim Fox and if Tim would stand firm for the people of Montana, Jon nailed down a few of the points. He informed me that Tim Fox has sued the government 12 times and won 12 times to protect Montana rights. He took the state of Washington to court for not letting our coal go through the state of Washington. He sued City of Missoula when they had the gun ordinance ban to protect our second amendment rights. Jon feels that, as Attorney General, Tim has led with a history of not just talking but taking action and getting things done. He opened up the eastern Montana crime lab, has worked to take more drugs off the highway, has worked to get more resources for individuals including children who are victims of sexual assault so that more evidence can be collected to put perpetrators behind bars.

Jon feels that Tim Fox is the republican candidate with the best chance to be elected. According to Jon, the last time Tim was on the ballet he got more votes than any republican in the history of Montana ever, he got 53,000 more votes than Donald Trump in trump country, and 96,000 more votes than Greg Gianforte.
