The Montana Association for the Blind is excited to announce that we will hold an Orientation Program for the Blind and Visually Impaired this year as a three-day workshop in October. We want those of you who are experiencing these difficulties to know that you are not alone.
Our Orientation Program Workshop is available to all healthy, visually-impaired adults. We will be offering the participants a warm and safe environment where they can learn to regain their independence again. It will be held in Bozeman. For the cost of $60, participants will get room, meals, and instruction.
Classes will include the basics of moving safely in the home and community, as well as doing the tasks of daily living. In addition, we will have classes in computer, braille, smart phones, and more. By learning these skills, you will begin to be more autonomous both inside and outside of your home.
Our event will be held October 14th through the 16th. For an application please contact Rhonda at 406-442-9411 or Jocelyn at 505-818-8721 or by email at [email protected] with Montana Association for the Blind. Spots are limited and going fast.
