Against all odds and with an approved plan, Dan McCaffree & family along with Friends of Musselshell School are hosting the ever popular two-day Memorial Weekend “Pig-nic” Sunday, May 24, and Monday, May 25 at the Musselshell School. Serving commences at noon both days. The cost for the meal is a free-will donation. All donations go to maintain and operate Musselshell School as a community center.
The McCaffree family provides the barbequed meat, potatoes, and bean pot. FoMS supplies the facility, plates, silverware, coffee and punch. The neighborhood and guests supply the homemade buns, salads and desserts. Out-of-town guests are not asked to bring food but no offerings are turned away. To assist with food planning, please call Adair at 406-947-5141 or Joanie at 406-947-3131 if you would like to or are bringing a salad or dessert.
THE EVENT IS BEING HELD BUT NOT WITHOUT SOME CHANGES! Distancing is being respected by setting tables spaciously, if the weather is favorable there will be tables outside, OR you may call ahead at 406-947-2351 if you would like a dinner prepared for take-out and servers will meet you at the door. The serving line will be spaced and guests may have to wait in their cars or at the outside tables instead of bunching up at the door and in the main hall. This year guests cannot serve themselves but will be served. There will be a choice of salads but no salad bar as in past years and you will get to choose a dessert (or several desserts) but a server will be present to serve you. Doors will close at 2:30.
Lastly, we request that if you do not feel good or are sick please stay home and if you do not get a hug from us it is not because we are not excited to see you!
This event is presented in memory of the late Rae McCaffree, July 9, 1946-April 17, 2004.
