Roundup High School Class of 2020 Scholarship Awards

Roundup High School Class of 2020 graduated on Sunday, May 24th, 2020. Many students from the graduating class have been awarded scholarships to pursue their post-secondary studies. RHS is proud to share the accomplishments of the Class of 2020!

Hannah Bedford plans to attend Montana State University in Bozeman where she plans to explore her interests before declaring a major. Montana State University has awarded Hannah a $1500 scholarship. Congratulations Hannah!

Brookelynn Buerkley has joined the National Guard and plans to attend Montana State University-Billings to pursue a degree in Nursing. MSU-Billings has awarded Brookelynn a renewable $5,000 Badovinac Family Scholarship as well as a $500 Central Montana Yellowjacket Scholarship, and a MSU-Billings Yellowjacket Excellence Scholarship in the amount of $1000. Brookelynn is also the recipient of a $600 Unity-Victory Masonic Scholarship, the Larry A. Dylina Scholarship in the amount of $300, and the $500 Joe Green Memorial Scholarships. Congratulations Brookelynn!

Chloe Cota plans to attend Miles Community College in Miles City, where she will pursue a degree in nursing. Chloe has been awarded a full tuition waiver from Miles Community College as her volleyball athletic scholarship and is also the recipient of a $1500 Miles Community College/Dawson Community College Midrivers Scholarship. Chloe has been awarded a $1000 Youth Serve Montana Scholarship from the Governor’s Office of Community Service and a $500 Nelson Kemmer Memorial Scholarship, as well as a $1000 scholarship from Reach High Montana. The Montana Association of Business Professionals of America has awarded Chloe a $500 scholarship, and she has been awarded a $1000 MUS STEM Scholarship, which is renewable up to four years. Chloe has also received a Unity-Victory Masonic Scholarship in the amount of $1000 and the $600 RHS Alumni Scholarship. She is also the recipient of a renewable $1500 scholarship from the Gebhardt Foundation, the Marie Benjamin Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $2000, as well as a $250 healthcare scholarship from Mark & Lori Rosebush. The Roundup Knights of Columbus have awarded Chloe a $250 scholarship, and she is also the recipient of the William A. Rogerson Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $1,000, renewable for two years. Additionally, Chloe will receive a $100 Tom & Peg Ask Scholarship and the Roger Leach Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $300. Congratulations Chloe!

Anna Gillis plans to pursue a degree in Ecology & Marine Biology at Seattle Pacific University in Seattle, Washington. Anna has been awarded the Dean’s Scholar Award from Seattle Pacific University worth $22,000. Anna also is the recipient of SPU’s Early Success Award in the amount of $2000, the Advantage Award of $7000, and the SPU Visit Scholarship in the amount of $1,000. Congratulations Anna!

Lexis Goffena has joined the National Guard and plans to attend Rocky Mountain College in Billings to pursue a degree in Environmental Science with a minor in Pre-Law. Rocky Mountain College has awarded Lexis a Rocky Merit Scholarship of $15,000, and Lexis will receive $5000 in tuition benefits from the National Guard for her commitment. Congratulations Lexis!

Kirsten Jensen plans to attend Montana State University to pursue a degree on Health and Human Development. Kirsten has been awarded a $1000 Youth Serve Montana Scholarship from the Governor’s Office of Community Service as well as a $1000 Unity-Victory Masonic Scholarship. The Roundup School Employee Association has awarded Kirsten a $500 scholarship, and Kirsten is the recipient of a Comstock Trust Scholarship in the amount of $500 for her first year, renewable in increasing increments up to four years. Kirsten is also awarded a $1500, renewable, Gebhardt Foundation Scholarship as well as a $500 scholarship from Roundup PTSA and a $500 scholarship from Roundup PEO, Chapter N. As the third ranking student in the Class of 2020, Kristen also receives a $100 Amdor Endowment Scholarship. Congratulations Kirsten!

Colton Kinn plans to attend Montana State University-Billings City College where he will pursue a career in welding & metal fabrication. Colton has been awarded a renewable $5,000 Badovinac Family Scholarship from MSU-Billings City College. Congratulations Colton!

Ryder Klein plans to attend Montana State University-Billings where he will participate in track & field while pursuing a degree in Health & Human Performance. Ryder is the recipient of a renewable $5,000 Badovinac Family Scholarship from MSU-Billings, as well as a MSU-Billings Yellowjacket Excellence Scholarship of $750 and a Central Montana Yellowjacket Scholarship in the amount of $500. Ryder has also been chosen to receive a $1500, renewable, Gebhardt Foundation Scholarship as well as the Marie Benjamin Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $2000. Ryder is also awarded the William A. Rogerson Memorial Scholarship of $1,000, renewable for two years. Congratulations Ryder!

Brennan Larson plans to attend Montana State University-Billings where she will participate in collegiate golf while pursuing a bachelor’s degree in K-12 Physical Education. Then, she plans to continue her education to obtain a master’s degree in counseling. Brennan has been awarded a $500 Central Montana Yellowjacket Scholarship, as well as a renewable $5,000 Badovinac Family Scholarship from MSU-Billings, and a MSU-Billings Yellowjacket Excellence Scholarship in the amount of $1000. Brennan is also awarded a $1000 Youth Serve Montana Scholarship from the Governor’s Office of Community Service and a $1500, renewable, Gebhardt Foundation Scholarship. The Roundup Knights of Columbus has awarded Brennan a $250 scholarship, and Roundup PTSA has awarded Brennan a $500 scholarship. Brennan is also the recipient of the RHS Alumni Scholarship in the amount of $600 and a Marie Benjamin Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $2000. Congratulations Brennan!

Rainie Pitman plans to pursue a degree in Nursing from Montana State University-Billings. MSU-Billings has awarded Rainie a $500 Central Montana Yellowjacket Scholarship, as well as a MSU-Billings Yellowjacket Excellence Scholarship in the amount of $750 Congratulations Rainie!

Tanner Rae will be attending Montana State University in Bozeman where he plans to pursue a degree in Nursing. Tanner has been awarded a $1000 scholarship from the Signal Peak Foundation and is awaiting notification of his acceptance into the MSU Hilleman’s Scholars Program with benefits of $21,000. Congratulations Tanner!

Dylan Sanner plans to attend Montana State University-Billings to pursue a degree in business. Dylan has been awarded a renewable $5,000 Badovinac Family Scholarship from MSU-Billings, a $500 Central Montana Yellowjacket Scholarship, and a MSU-Billings Yellowjacket Excellence Scholarship in the amount of $750. Congratulations Dylan!

Brooke Schloemer-Bullard plans to pursue certification as a Veterinary Technician at Northwest College in Powell, Wyoming. Brooke has been awarded a $1000 Northwest College Trapper Scholarship as well as the Forest Allen Family Ag Scholarship. Congratulations Brooke!

Mariah Stern plans to attend Montana State University-Billings City College where she will pursue a career in autobody repair. Mariah has been awarded a $250 Central Montana Yellowjacket Scholarship from MSU-Billings City College. Congratulations Mariah!

Jenna Wacker plans to attend Montana State University in Bozeman, where she will pursue a degree in Graphic Design. MSU has awarded Jenna a $1000, renewable, Premiere Scholarship, and she has also been awarded a $1000 scholarship from the Midland Empire Angus Association. Jenna is also the recipient of a Gebhardt Foundation Scholarship as well as a $600 Unity-Victory Masonic Scholarship and a $1000 scholarship from the Signal Peak Foundation. Jenna is the recipient of a $500 Roundup School Employee Association Scholarship and a Marie Benjamin Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $2000. Jenna also is awarded a $500 Wilcox Family 4-H Scholarship. Congratulations Jenna!
