As of June 1, 2020, we do not know for sure when we will be holding classes for hunter safety or bowhunter safety (hunter safety) at the shooting range. Right now, any person 12 or older by January 16, 2021 can take the hunter safety courses online. There is also an online field course so that no field day is currently required. Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks is picking up the entire cost of the online courses so there will be no charges for any of the online courses. To take the class online, go to the FWP website -- http://fwp.mt.gov -- and follow the links to "education," "hunter education," and "hunter education." There you will find a link to "https://urldefense.com/v3/__http://hunter-ed.com/montana__;!!GaaboA!9GoXqhoe4zPOqzbFfjVXAyl7xWerwLzVG4R5boUP8O82CgMTikoAAyk_suk72oc$ " and a code that will give you the course for free.Once you have completed the course you can print out a hunter safety card at home. If you don’t have access to a computer or the internet you can use the computers at the library. If you have any problems or questions please contact Jay Newell at 320-1857 or any of the other hunter safety instructors in the area.
