Roundup has several options for auto repair, and one of those options is Dimmick's Auto. Tim Dimmick, the owner, started a service shop in Roundup many years ago. He then moved to Harlowtown with his family, running his business there until 2010. Tim and his wife Dee moved back to Roundup after their children graduated from Harlowtown. Tim has continued doing repair since returning to Roundup, also working at the mine for a few years. In January of this year, Tim moved his automotive service business to the previous location of "The Second Hand Shop" along highway 87. He is now full time in automotive repair and also has UHAUL rentals, something he also previously had at his shop in Harlowtown.
Tim's business is a family operated service shop, and his friends and family can be found chatting around the table in the shop when not busy. The pandemic slowed the business down for Tim. Though he did not have to close down because of being an essential business, he said he might as well have. It is costly staying open when no one is out and about or driving anywhere. The light bill still has to be paid, so to speak. I have personally had Tim repair a vehicle for me, and I appreciated his customer service and follow up to make sure I was satisfied.
Tim can repair diesel, and foreign automotive as well as regular repair, tire repair and windshield chip repair. Dimmick's Auto is at 16823 Hwy 87 South. He can be reached at 406-323-8898 and can also be found in the Roundup Record Business Directory, page 6.
