Accepting Grant Applications

Applications for grants from the Signal Peak Community Foundation are being accepted until September 20, 2020. Grants are awarded in October to non-profit organizations located in Musselshell County. The Board’s general guidelines for applications are:

- Emphasis on infrastructure-related projects

- Preference for projects where sponsoring organization cover part of the project costs

- Preference against operating costs or personnel

- Grant funds to be spent locally if possible

The Signal Peak Community Foundation was established in 2011 and has awarded over 3 million in grants to non-profit organizations, including county, city and school governments in Musselshell County. Grants awarded at the 2020 May meeting included the South Central Montana RSVP $18,041. for shelving blocks, Pine Ridge Golf Course $32,000. for a mower, Musselshell Valley Historical Museum $16,000. for exhibit enhancements, Roundup Memorial Healthcare $16,935. for lab equipment, and Melstone Area Foundation $4,000. for construction project. $500. was give to the Back Pack Program and $1,000. to the Food bank.

$2,500 was donated to the Judy Martz monument. Governor Martz signed the legislation that enabled the Mine to use the original mine permit. If the mine had to start a new permitting process it would never have opened again.

Scholarship were awarded to Jenna Wacker and Tanner Rae.
