Friday, October 2nd, & Thursday, October 15th, 2020 Borner vs Pancratz & Usher vs Spanjian

The debate between Musselshell County Commissioner Nicole Borner and Republican candidate Robert Pancratz will take place, Friday, October 2, 2020, starting at 6:00 P.M., 'sharp', and concluding at 7:00 P.M. The debate between Representative Barry Usher and his Democratic opponent Dr. Kris Spanjian will take place Thursday, October 15th. Both debates will take place at Roundup Elementry School which is located at 401 11th Ave. East in Roundup. Due to the flu virus regulations. Only 110 individuals will be allowed into the gymnasium. So, tickets will be first come, first served. The cost will be a financial donation ($1 or more) to the "Roundup Christmas Food Baskets". One donation per ticket is required. All proceeds will go to the Roundup Christmas Food Basket program. Submit questions and ticket request for the debate via, email; [email protected], or mail; P.O. Box 350, Roundup, or at the office; 343 Main St. across the street from the hardware store.

The format for the debate is questions will be screened in advance by a committee of individuals from the community. Questions will be accepted from the community-at-large if submitted in advance. Each candidate will be given 3 minutes for opening introductions. Each candidate will be given 2 minutes to answer each question, followed by a 1 minute rebuttal if desired. After the question and answer period, each candidate will be given 2 minute for closing remarks. A time keeper will let the candidates know when 1 minute has elapsed and also a 30 second notification. No questions will be taken from the audience during the question and answer period.

The debate setting will maintain a non-partisan decorum throughout. Audience compliance and respect to the candidates will be expected.
