Governor-elect Gianforte Names Department of Revenue Transition Advisory Team

BOZEMAN, Mont. – Governor-elect Greg Gianforte today named his transition advisory team for the Department of Revenue.

The advisory team will identify and review candidates to serve as the next director of the Department of Revenue, and will forward its recommendations to Governor-elect Gianforte.

“Hardworking Montanans send their money to Helena, only to see state spending grow and their taxes increase. Montanans know how to spend their dollars better than Helena bureaucrats do, which is why I’ll work to cut taxes for all Montana taxpayers. I thank the members of this team for their important service, and look forward to receiving their recommendations,” Gianforte said.

This is the seventh of many transition advisory teams the governor-elect will establish to assist in identifying exceptional candidates to serve as agency heads and members of related boards. So far, Gianforte has announced transition teams for Agriculture, DPHHS, DOC, and FWP as well as joint advisory teams for Commerce-Labor/Industry and DNRC-DEQ.

All members of the Department of Revenue Transition Advisory Team serve in a voluntary capacity and are not compensated for their time.

Earlier this month, Gianforte launched ServeMontana.com, a website in which individuals may submit their credentials for consideration to serve Montana, including leading state agencies.

Members of Governor-elect Gianforte’s Department of Revenue Advisory Team follow:

Nancy Ballance – Montana state representative (HD-87) and former three-term Chair of House Appropriations
