ROSE CHELEDINAS
April 26, 1924-November 17, 2020
Rose was one of eight children born to George and Amelia Cheledinas in Klein, Montana. Despite receiving multiple scholarships, after high school graduation she left Klein to work for the Pentagon's Army Air Force Headquarters. Rose eventually worked as a legal secretary for Brock Adams in Seattle and in his Senate office on Capitol Hill. She retired after last working for Seattle Mayor Charles Royer. In work and retirement Rose was an avid learner. She was a world traveler including with Elder Hostel, a member of Mensa, a contract bridge player, and a current events discussion participant. She was an avid downhill and cross country skier, snowshoer, golfer, biker, and Greenlake walker. Rose helped her family financially and otherwise throughout her life. She is beloved by her remaining ten nieces and nephews, eight great nieces and nephews, and one great great niece and nephew. Rose is interred at Holyrood Cemetery, Shoreline, Washington. A memorial service will take place in 2021 as soon as it safe to gather together.
