“Out Here We Care”
On December 1, 2020 Visit Southeast Montana tourism recently joined forces with the Roundup Chamber of Commerce to launch a program that will incentivize local businesses and individuals to help slow community spread of COVID-19.
Using funds from a federal cares grant, Visit Southeast Montana will sponsor the program and the Roundup Chamber of Commerce will administer and execute. Individual and business that sign the “Out Here We Care” pledge will be entered in a drawing to receive gift certificates for local Roundup businesses as a reward for their agreement.
The program is completely voluntary and is designed not as a directive but rather as an incentive, It includes components like promising to wear a mask when in public or at work, to practice social distancing.
“We really want to encourage individuals and businesses in the Musselshell community to take little steps that could result in big changes,” said Brenda Maas, Director of Marketing for Visit Southeast Montana tourism. “The locally-purchased gift certificates give a perk to those who pledge while helping hometown businesses.
Maas added that the Roundup Chamber is the perfect organization to execute the “Out Here We Care” program.
