One thing most folks in Roundup can agree on, when an emergency or crisis hits the community, or a community member, we pull together and help. The Perrella family can attest to this, as a family member, Anthony Perrella, was involved in a major accident recently and continues to be hospitalized.
On Sunday, March 7, the Arcade held a fundraiser for Anthony (Anton) Perrella to assist with medical costs incurred after an accident that severely injured Mr. Perrella. His injuries included 6 broken ribs, both knees being almost totally destroyed, along with other damage to various arm, shoulder and hip areas. First responders had to cut the door and the top of his vehicle off to reach Mr. Perrella and remove him. Pat Perrella, Anton's brother, stated "we are lucky to have him."
The accident took place Ash Wednesday, February 17, at 10:15 at night. Anton states that it "will be some time" before he can be released; moreover, he added "But we will pull through this." Pat shared a recent video of him in the hospital, and Anton seemed in good spirits, his humor intact (unlike some of his bones!!) and adds Anton is very thankful for the prayers, thoughts and good wishes continuing to be sent his way. Anton states that these "help him to survive." The Perrella family also appreciates all the thoughts for quick and full recovery for Anton.
Mike and Monte played music at the Arcade for the afternoon's entertainment, and dancers filled the floor. A rib dinner, provided by the Knights of Columbus, could be purchased. The long lines attest to the enjoyment of the food. The funds will be provided to mitigate Mr. Perrella's medical costs. Everyone seemed to enjoy the good weather, great food and music, and the chance to support the Perrella's during their time of need.
Those who could not attend the fundraiser, but wishing to contribute, can lodge their donations with either First Security Bank or Valley Federal Credit Union, in Roundup.
