Museum Opens in May Because Spring is Here

The Musselshell Valley Historical Museum opens for the season on Saturday, May 1. It will be open from 1:00 to 5:00 PM seven days a week. It will close for the season on Sunday, September 26.

If you haven't been to the museum for a while, you are in for a treat. We now have an amazing diorama with many of the historic sites in the county identified. It has lights to help you locate the historic sites. We made many changes to the museum last summer. There is a dress shop, a tool shed, and we have added several firearms to the gun collection. The rock display was updated and moved to a different room. The tipi will be set up for the season. There were other displays that have been moved around and improved.

The Teddy Blue Abbott Monument base has been placed on the lawn in front of the courthouse. The monument should be installed

and ready for a celebration in early July. What a project this has been. It will be amazing.

We are looking forward to an exciting summer at the museum. Come join us and learn more about the local history of the Musselshell Valley.
