The City of Roundup will celebrate Arbor Day on Friday, April 30 by planting two trees at the City Park at 10:00 a.m. The fourth grade students have been invited to attend this educational program . Mayor Jones will accept the recognition for the City of Roundup. This program will include the history of Arbor Day by Forester Josh Stoychoff, and current information on the Emerald Ash Borer by Jennifer Solf, Extension Agent.
The celebration will continue at 2:00 p.m. the same day in front of the Memorial Garden where a memorial tree will be planted for Shirley Egge. Shirley was a charter member of BUD/Tree Board and her family will honor her legacy by planting a tree. Educational materials will also be available at this location.
The community is invited to attend all celebrations.
