Joe Nichols is headlining RIDE’s 16th annual celebration and the bus will roll in to town for a big show on Saturday July 3rd at the Roundup Outdoor Stage. Lots of big things have already happened lately for Nichols as he told KLMB’s Mike Morgan recently. “In early April, I signed a new record deal with Quartz Hill Records. The label head is a guy that produced some of the #1 hits we had out in the past and I feel like I’m home when I’m around him. I also have a new single that will hit radio on April 26th and be released digitally on the 23rd. The song is called “Home Run”, but it’s not about baseball. We’re really excited about it and we’ll have some new material to sing, along with the hits when we get to Roundup”.
Joe Nichols is a three-time Grammy nominee, the Academy of Country Music’s “Newcomer of the Year”, CMT’s “Breakthrough Video of the Year”, and the Horizon award from the CMA’s. He’s had platinum and gold records, appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live, The View, Entertainment Tonight, and Austin City Limits. Along the way Joe has accumulated 6 #1 singles including “Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off” and “Gimme That Girl”.
Joe Nichols will perform on July 3rd. The show starts off with a celebration of our Veterans. Special guests for the evening are Lt. Gen. Butch Funk, Gen. Paul Funk, and the Golden Knights Air Jump Team. Nashville rising star, Lauren Mascitti, will perform a set of songs that she wrote or co-wrote. She is a talented newcomer with great stage presence. The 7pm show will be hosted by KGHL’s Nick Tyler. Great fireworks by Roundup Skylighters and Montana Poor Boys Pyrotechnics will follow Nichols’ performance.
Lots more to be seen during RIDE this year including the July 2nd show with the greatest Eagles tribute group, Hotel California. The great Jason Larson opens. Kim Mitchell and VA leader, Shellye Burrows will be the guests for the show. Medical Personnel and First Responders will be honored before the music. There will be a Top Shot Competition, Kids Kountry, Cowboy Church with Dave Bergeson, Buttons and Bows Youth Rodeo and lots of vendors.
