American Idol's Lauren Mascitti at RIDE July 3rd

“I’m a sucker for a good songwriter. What I love most is Lauren’s silky quality as a storyteller, and that’s the part I really fell in love with. I’ve melted already”. That’s what the great Lionel Richie said about Lauren Mascitti when she was on the TV show “American Idol”. That’s coming from a singer who knows talent and songwriting, and Lauren has both in abundance.

Lauren Mascitti will be making her Montana debut in Roundup Montana at RIDE on July 3rd. She’ll take the Roundup Outdoor Stage at 7 pm. A dynamic performer, she’s spent a lot time in Branson and she’s lived in Nashville for the last several years. She made her Grand Ole Opry debut last Friday evening and brought the house down. The legendary Joe Nichols will headline the show that evening. Both artists have brand new music out. Lauren’s new single is “One Life Stand”, and Joe’s brand new label Quartz Hill, a division of Sony Records just sent to radio a single called “Home Run”. I’m sure you’ll hear them both in Roundup.

RIDE starts on Friday, July 2nd with the Roundup Sportsmen’s Associations 3rd Top Shot competition at their gun range beside Pine Ridge Golf course. That goes on from 1-5pm. That evening on the Outdoor Stage, Jason Larson opens for the best Eagles tribute band in the world, “Hotel California”. It’s nothing but the Eagles, and it will be a night to reminisce and remember. On Saturday at City Park will be Kids Kountry from noon until 5pm. The children always love that and this year promises to be even better. After the evening show at the stage will be the best fireworks in Montana with the Roundup Skylighters and Montana Poor Boys Pyrotechnics. Sunday morning at 8 am RIDE moves to the Ridge Riders Arena for Cowboy Church with Pastor Dave Bergenson. Buttons and Bows will follow with check in at 9:15 am and Grand Entry at 10:30. Parents, be sure and download the entry form off of RIDE’S website roundupride.com. Entries must be postmarked by June 14th. For all Buttons and Bows questions contact 323-4163.

Be sure and get your wristbands before the price goes up on June 1st. They get you into all events. You can get them at 1st Security Bank, KLMB Radio, IGA, The Liquor Store, Lavina School, or KGHL Radio in Billings.

RIDE will have safety spectator guidelines in place. You can view it on the RIDE website, http://www.roundupride.com.

Also, there’s free RV parking across from the stage. It’s getting close. See you at RIDE July 2-4.
