CMMC, Billings Clinic Oncology Partner to Provide in-person Services in Lewistown

Central Montana Medical Center will offer in-person oncology services in partnership with Billings Clinic Cancer Center beginning mid-October through outreach clinics and other services to Lewistown and the surrounding region. Benefis Sletten Cancer Institute recently informed CMMC that they would no longer be able to sustain outreach services in Lewistown. The teams involved began discussions at that time how best to care for patients who would like to transition their treatment to the Billings Clinic outreach clinic providers.

This transition plan includes our oncology team working to make sure a summary of the patients' medical records and personal contact information are available to Billings Clinic providers so they can be consulted when necessary to ensure a smooth transition for our patients. Navigation will facilitate care for those who choose to maintain relationships with their current oncologist. During this transition your CMMC cancer care team may expand but will continue to communicate as usual.

Access and availability to your cancer care team will not change. Please reach out to CMMC Navigation at 406-535-1448, email [email protected] or call CMMC Infusion Department at 406-535-6373 for all questions related to your cancer care or to schedule an appointment with the Billings Clinic oncology outreach clinic providers. PatientConnect, at https://www.cmmc.health/for-patients/patientconnect/, is another effective way to communicate with your CMMC cancer care team.

All CMMC cancer care services will continue, including lab, imaging and infusion needs, right here at home.

CMMC and Billings Clinic are committed to ensuring patients have high-quality oncology care in central Montana without having to travel. CMMC is recruiting for a full-time medical oncologist to serve the new cancer center, which is currently scheduled to open in the summer or fall of 2023.
