Homes on The Range Undergoes a Long Overdue Remodel

This year is the year of changes for Homes on the Range. In May, Paula Snider came on staff as the Service Coordinator, and in June, Angie Mozqueda became the new Property Manager on staff. The property has not had a coordinator since 2018. Paula helps the residents to connect with services that fit their needs. She has lived in Roundup for 46 years and is familiar with all the ways to help connect the residents with help. Angie manages everything involved with the property, rent, and any maintenance issues, she is also coordinating the new remodel.

The two ladies have been working together to improve the lives of the residents, and also improve the property as it is aging. The main complex has not been updated since the building was originally built. Beginning with the community building and the main offices, the remodeling has begun. The ladies have had the carpet replaced and the walls repainted. The board members of Homes on the Range liked the change so much that they approved the update for the main complex. The main complex is also undergoing updates on pipes which will have to be done before the carpets and painting is done. The apartments have been maintained and updated over time as the residents have come and gone, but the community areas of the building have not been updated and everyone is anticipating the coming changes with excitement. Angie is planning to theme the décor around local artists, and the cattle drive.

Homes on the Range has fifty apartments, of which forty-four units are filled. Homes on the Range is NOT an assisted living housing, but rather it is apartments for elderly or disabled. The rent rate is thirty percent of your income, and includes utilities. There is an extra ten-dollar fee for cable, and six dollar a month fee for laundry, which is available on every floor of the building. The community building has bingo twice a month, and an open game day with snacks. The ladies are planning other future activities for the residents as well.

The changes are uplifting, and we will look forward to seeing what other new things are happening with our neighbors at Homes on the Range. For now, congratulations to Angie and Paula for the hard work, and motivation to update a vital part of the Roundup community.
