Gene Lewis Lehfeldt

Gene Lewis Lehfeldt passed away Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at the age of 86. He passed peacefully in his sleep at the Legacy Assisted Living facility in Billings Montana. He was born to Lewis and Peggy Lehfeldt on February 14, 1935 in Los Angeles CA. When he was 8 the family moved to Lavina Montana where he was raised with siblings Ann, Sidney, Deb and Jeff.

He spent his childhood playing basketball and spending summers north of Lavina with his cousins on Grandpa Mason's homestead.

In 1954 he married Shirley Bohlman and they had two sons, Kip and Greg Farnum. They later divorced and in 1960 he married Vivian Harden and he helped raise her boys Fred and Richard Harden. They divorced and then in 1986 he met and married Peggy Spicer, she had 4 grown children Suzie, Lisa, Karen and Bobby.

Gene worked several different jobs in his younger years and then through a friendship he forged with Cameron Mitchell, he was able to make a career in Hollywood. He worked in the movie business as a stuntman, cameraman, lighting man, soundman, and stand-in. Later in his career he was instrumental in making several feature movies with his friend Frank Harris.

Gene loved to golf and play various sports and spend time entertaining family and friends. He was a kind and gentle person and he will be missed.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents Lewis and Peggy Lehfeldt, Shirley, Vivian, Peggy, stepsons, Fred Harden, Bobby Spicer Jr. Grandson Thomas Farnum, brother in law Bobby Lambert and sister in law Nancy Lehfeldt.

He is survived by his sons Kip (Nancy) Farnum of Gillette, Greg Farnum of Japan, Step children Richard Harden Billings, Suzie Spicer, Lisa Traxel, Karen Spicer all of Georgia. Sisters Ann Lambert of Laurel, Deb (Dave) Harmon of Lavina and Brothers Sidney Lehfeldt of Tennessee and Jeff Lehfeldt of Billings, and 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
