I was cheered by Ms. Beye's 10 November article about progress towards Roundup's "desperately-needed beautiful new residential apartments." Hopefully, she or another journalist will undertake to inform us what structural changes have been or will be made to guarantee the safety of the lucky residents, for the fact that the building was denominated a regular death-trap was what motivated the approximately 12 - million - dollar elementary school that was built. (Some of that money was repurposed to spend on unadvertised improvements to the high school, so I'm uncertain of the exact cost.) It would be a terrific tragedy if the old building collapsed like that apartment block in Miami.
