To Believe is to Understand
To understand why our world seems to be in turmoil and controversy is to understand the nature of evil or sin. Evil comes from man's heart; the first act of sin was when Adam ate the forbidden fruit. Satan, the father of sin, convinced Eve, who then convinced Adam to eat the forbidden fruit.
Eight thousand years later, satan still roams the earth. One analogy of the forbidden fruit is the belief that utopia is attainable in the present age. We are asked to trust those in authority for all answers to those issues that plague the human race. The so-called masters-of-the-universe, diviners of all knowledge, fortune tellers extraordinaire will provide the direction and map to utopia.
First, utopia is not humanly possible because we are all born into sin, and sin and utopia are incompatible. Secondly, those who lift themselves as leaders to direct our path are liars based on the first fact that utopia is humanly impossible! Thirdly, those who promise utopia do not accept that God, thru His Son, Jesus Christ, has told us in His Word. "Utopia" or heaven is only attainable in the life to come thru faith in Jesus Christ. But as it is written: "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him." 1 Corinthians 2:9
We must accept that Jesus Christ is the key to entering "utopia" or heaven. As long as we put our faith in man who is flawed and born into sin and that satan rules this world, the results we strive for will come up short of our expectations.
So, beware of those that claim to have the answers to today's ills. Their utterings are fruitless if they don't hold up their faith as the first line of defense.
"He who walks in his uprightness fears the Lord, But he who is perverse in his ways despises Him." Proverbs 14:2
