Harvey Lee Turner 73, passed away on January 1, 2022, at his home in Melstone, MT (close to Roundup), where he resided for most of his mid-later years.
Harvey was born in Jacksboro, Texas on October 11, 1948, to R.B. and Margaret Turner. He grew up with 8 brothers and sisters on the homestead in Canyon, Texas.
He married the love of his life, Diane (Tucek), on January 7, 1968. Together they started their lives in Texas, where they had four children; Trent (Holly), Trena (Mike), Michelle (Aaron), and Tyler (Kristen). In the late 1980s, they decided to make a new start in Montana; where they watched their family grow. Somewhere along the way, they added their adopted son Bradley (Anita) West.
Throughout Harvey’s life, he was known to have the “gift of gab”. Nobody was a stranger when he was around, he could talk with anyone. More often than not, inviting them to his home for a “good ole’ southern dinner”.
He enjoyed going fishing and camping with his family. Harvey would always light up when the kids were around for a visit and usually snuck in a history or political lesson to them!
He was known for collecting many items and never turned down a good buy.
Harvey has rejoined with his love, Diane, his parents, and siblings; Terry, L.B., and Debby.
He is survived by his four children, his adopted children, many grandchildren and great grandchildren, his siblings; Bill, Bob, Hoyt, Shirley, and Gayle. Along with many friends, who were treated as family.
*Gone, but never forgotten*
*Beautifully written by granddaughter Katy*
