Terry Dwaine Boe, lifelong Lavina resident, passed away peacefully at home on February 10, 2022. At the age of 70, he far surpassed many doctors' predictions about his life expectancy.
Terry was born August 8, 1951 to the late Miller and Esther (Algard) Boe. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings: Sid Boe and Myrna Anderson, nephew Sid Wilken and lifelong friend Bobby Feiock.
Terry completed his education at Lavina High School and entered the family tavern business. On July 27, 1975 he married Sharon Watson and together they owned and operated Richard's Café in Lavina. They later divorced and sold the café, at which time Terry re-joined the family business, Cozy Corner Bar.
Terry thoroughly enjoyed his vocation, regularly organizing musical, group and fund-raising events that would attract attendance from a wide swath of Montana. He was not opposed to joining in the fun with a dance or two as well. During his free time, he enjoyed fishing, visiting friends and partaking in Norwegian traditional fare.
For those who benefited from Terry's Pay it Forward approach to life, please consider continuing that tradition with others you encounter who may be in need. That would be the best way to honor him.
Terry is survived by: children – Kelly (Don) Becktold, Teresa (Bruce) Baker, Lea Larson, Gerald Watson Jr.; Sister-in-law Lois (Sid) Boe, numerous nieces and nephews, special friend Nancy and close friends (you know who you are).
A memorial gathering will be held at the Cozy Corner Bar in Lavina, MT -Sunday February 20 at 1 pm. Burial will be in the Lavina Cemetery. If desired, friends may make memorial contributions to the Lavina Volunteer Fire Department, Lavina Senior Center, Dean Creek Volunteer Fire Department or the Golden Girls of Lavina (Easter Egg Hunt fund).
