Commissioners Meeting Minutes
March 18, 2022
The meeting was called to order at 8:30 by Commissioner Goffena. Commissioner Turley and Commissioner Pancratz were also present.
Pledge of Allegiance.
Commissioner Pancratz made the motion to approve the days agenda after removing signing Resolution 2022-11that was put on in error until after the 2 public comment meetings and adding: Review and sign the Entity Authorization Forms and Commercial Loan Agreement and Promissory Note for the Farmers Union Brownsfield Clean up submitted by Snowy Mountain Development. Commissioner Turley seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Commissioner Turley made the motion to approve the March 11, 2022 meeting minutes as written. Commissioner Pancratz seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Commissioner Goffena attended the Safety meeting Thursday March 17, 2022 where they inspected the “cold storage’ building. They need to make sure they generator that is stored there is getting the monthly inspection.
Maintenance Supervisor Jett did not have anything to report for the day.
Sheriff Lesnik gave his weekly report to the Commissioners. Mr. Lesnik and Ambulance Director Solberg are working on a new overtime policy for the sheriff’s Office and EMS employees.
DES Director Russell and Coordinator Rook gave their weekly report to the Commissioners. They are going to be buying the old Sheriff’s truck and are looking at the budget. Mr. Rook took an active shooter class. Mr. Russell was asked about the monthly checkups on the generator at the cold storage unit and assured the Commissioners the checks have been done. There were 2 new addresses this week. The PDM grant (pre-disaster mitigation) was approved and the paper work will be on next week’s agenda. There are 2 active COVID cases in Musselshell County.
Kathy Thompson with Stahly Engineering called in to talk with the Commissioners about the Minimum Allocation Grant that is available to Musselshell County in the amount of $510,620.00 that only be used for water improvement projects. The Commissioner are going to apply for funding for the water at the fairgrounds and Cow Bells Campground.
Aaron Belveal met with the Commissioner regarding County owned property in Musselshell that he would like to obtain with a switch of property Mr. Belveal owns down by the fairgrounds. The Commissioners gave Mr. Belveal and estimate of the Musselshell property given to them by Kennie Minnie.

Commissioner Pancratz made the motion to sign the Motion Picture Master Use License for Original Music submitted by Mike Morgan. Commissioner Turley seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Commissioner Turley made the motion to approve the Cancellation of the Non-Partisan County Race for the Primary Election only. Commissioner Pancratz seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Commissioner Pancratz made the motion to sign the Entity Authorization Forms and Commercial Loan Agreement and Promissory Note for the Farmers Union Brownsfield Clean up submitted by Snowy Mountain Development. Commissioner Turley seconded the motion. Motion carried.
There being no further business Commissioner Pancratz made the motion to adjourn. Commissioner Turley seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Commissioner Goffena and Commissioner Turley did the second run of claims on Thursday March 17, 2022 for the month.
Claims for the second run of March claims = $113,600.23
