BLM Recreation Announcement: Coal Banks Landing and James Kipp Recreation Area Campgrounds Are Open

Early season campers can enjoy the great outdoors at the Upper Missouri River Breaks National Monument. Both Coal Banks Landing and James Kipp Recreation Area campgrounds are open. The fee to camp at Coal Banks Landing is $10 per night, while the fee to camp at James Kipp Recreation Area is $12.00 per night. Please, bring your own water, as it's still too soon to turn on water systems without risk of overnight freezing. Boaters should be aware that water levels at Coal Banks Landing are still too low for launching motorized vessels.
