Race Report

Weekend race report! July 8th Gallatin Speedway in Belgrade had 19 Wissota Street Stocks! Kayla drew the 3rd Heat race and finished 6th out of 6. The Main race started with all 19 cars. Kayla pushed hard and avoided several wrecks. Bulletproof decided to lose a couple of nuts off the "muffler" and drug for twenty laps! Luckily it didn't fall off and it was a simple repair. Kayla finished strong, placing 11th out of 19. Bulletproof handled great after getting a new left rear tire (1st new tire ever) according to our 17 year old race car driver! July 9th Big Sky Speedway in Billings had 12 street stock cars. The weather was hot and windy, streets raced last after the other classes. The track was hard, fast, and dusty with a couple of ruts, that continued to grow in size as the night progressed. Kayla drew the first Heat race and finished 5th out of 6! All 12 cars showed for the Main with birthday racer Jeromy Castro spinning a 360 down the straight in front of the crowd. Barely slowing down and went on to win the race! Kayla was running fast, even after Bulletproof lost the power steering half way through 20 laps. Kayla had to use the ruts and throttle to push for the checkered flag.She had another great finish 9th out of 12! Team Pelissier is Very proud, Kayla is gaining speed with her best lap times while improving her track skills! Bulletproof will be repaired and ready for the Big Race! July 15th and 16th at Big Sky Speedway is next, Saturday is a Big Race for the Jared Krenelka Memorial! Wissota Street Stocks are having a 40 LAP race with a pot added. 360 winged Sprints will be there both days. Racing starts at 7pm, pits are open after races!
