Flatwillow Homemakers will begin our new season a week late. Due to conflicts with busy schedules the first meeting of the year will be on Tuesday, September 20 at Raye Anne Lund’s home. Our dues are will be paid, and there will be opportunity table. It will be such a fun and busy day. I look forward to seeing everyone after our summer break.

He is married to Kylie King Thompson and has three sons. Welcome to Winnett. We also welcome Brittney Barnett as the new kindergarten teacher. She also attended MSU-Western. She grew up and graduated from Winnett High School. She has taught in Wyoming and just moved back to Winnett this year. She married Clay Barnett, another Winnett school graduate in July. Be sure and come out to support all these athletes who are diligently practicing and working hard for their teams and their schools. The Bruno & Evelyne Betti Youth Summer Program had several field trips this summer for the kids. They went to the Bear Gulch Pictographs, the Hays Powwow and Zoo Montana. What fun adventures and great ways to learn about the history of our area. Thank you to all the parents, volunteers, and Lance for organizing fun activities for our youth in and around the Winnett area.
To round out our busy summer here in Winnett, August was filled with activities for everyone. the Winnett Booster Club organized and held their annual poker run. Preston Kiehl won the poker game, and Rodney Rowton won the 50/50. Thank you to all who hosted and helped put together a fun activity and money raiser for the booster club, which helps the athletes of Winnett. The Winnett Fun Day was held on August 21, and the annual Pasture Golf tournament was on August 28. Everyone had a great time and enjoyed their end of summer gatherings even with the heat that just won’t seem to let up. Hope everyone is surviving these unusually hot days and dry conditions. According to my weather information, it should start to cool down by Thursday of this coming week, and maybe continue to cool down and feel more like fall. I for one am ready for cooler temperatures. I love fall so I am ready.
