Commissioner Minutes

September 23, 2022

The meeting was called to order at 8:30 by Commissioner Goffena. Commissioner Turley and Commissioner Pancratz were present. Minutes were taken by Clerk and Recorder Tomassi.

Pledge of Allegiance.

Commissioner Pancratz made the motion to approve today’s agenda. Commissioner Turley seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Commissioner Pancratz made the motion to approve the September 6th, 8th and 9th 2022 minutes as amended. Commissioner Turley seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Treasurer/County Superintendent of Schools Hetrick met with Commissioners and presented Roundup School Districts final budget/levy information for review and signature. Commissioner Goffena signed the Roundup School Districts budget/levy for county wide transportation and budget/levy decrease of county wide high school retirement and increase of elementary school retirement. Resolution 2022-26 will be signed during the Commissioners 3:00 business meeting.

CFO Kirk met with Commissioners and discussed budgets and audits.

Sheriff Lesnik met with Commissioners and gave his weekly report. Sheriff Lesnik also discussed his budget and the status of the seized animals that the county has had for months.

Adam Larsen the new to be elected County Attorney met with Commissioners.

DES Director/Fire Warden Russell and DES Coordinator Rook did not attend todays meeting due to active shooter training in Melstone. They sent in their weekly updated report to the Commissioners.

Ambulance Director Solberg met with Commissioners and discussed a current work comp case. Mr. Solberg also discussed his budget and accounts receivables. The Commissioners agreed to give the Ambulance volunteers a 7% raise effective July 1, 2022. Mr. Solberg will be replacing the two security doors at the Courthouse within the next three weeks. All new employees will need to get a picture taken and complete the ID badge information sheet.

Commissioner Goffena opened the 2:30 public meeting regarding month 13 budget amendment doing away with any negative appropriations. There were no public comments.

Commissioner Goffena opened the 3:00 business meeting. There were no public comments.

Commissioner Pancratz made the motion to approve and sign the one encroachment permit submitted by William Bergin Jr./Foster Ranch & Feedlot, LLC on Old Musselshell Road. Commissioner Turley seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Commissioner Turley made the motion to approve and sign the ARPA Water & Sewer Infrastructure Grant Program COVID-19 Health Regulations Certification forms for the Musselshell Judith Rural Water Project Phase 4 submitted by Craig Erickson from Great West Engineering. Commissioner Pancratz seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Commissioner Pancratz made the motion to approve and sign resolution 2022-26 submitted by County Treasurer/Superintendent of Schools Hetrick approving the Roundup School District Transportation and Retirement budget. Commissioner Turley seconded the motion. Motion carried.

There being no further business Commissioner Pancratz made the motion to adjourn. Commissioner Turley seconded the motion. Motion carried.
