Ruth Violet Fuller

Ruth Violet Fuller was born May 15, 1929 in Roundup, MT to Grace Louise (Crosmer) and Peter Henry Haverkamp. She was younger sister to Ralph and elder to Peter.

Ruth graduated valedictorian in 1947 from Roundup High School and continued her schooling at University of Montana - Missoula to certify in education. She began her teaching career at Del Bonita, MT, a one room school house, while living at the teacherage - a sheep wagon! Ruth taught elementary in various locations in Montana including Boulder, Broadview, and Spring Hill until she settled back in Roundup at Central Elementary School. She retired in 1994 after 20 years at Central.

Ruth married Milton Erwin Fuller in 1953. She and her family lived in Montana, Puerto Rico, and Fairbanks, Alaska. During her 28 years of retirement, Ruth mastered the art of quilting, traveled to Europe, and throughout the U.S. with her childhood friend Bessie Mae Schmaing (Taylor).

Ruth Fuller passed on December 15, 2022 in Billings, MT and is survived by her sons Hank and Mathew; her daughter Elizabeth; five grandchildren Reva, Charles, Charmyn, Gregory and William; four great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Per Ruth's request, cremation has taken place and there will be no services. Any memorial gifts can be sent via Venmo to Elizabeth-Fuller-112 for gravesite restoration at Roundup Cemetery at the Crosmer plot: Block 26, Lot 8.
