Lynn "Buzzard" Wise, 69, passed away on February 18, 2023, in Billings, Montana, from a progressive lung disorder. Buzzard (Lynn to his family) lived a full life and touched many hearts along the way. Strangers were just friends he hadn't met yet. He loved to help those
around him, especially if it involved digging dirt with any type of equipment.
He traveled the world during his career in the oilfield and covered countless miles driving truck. He was always up for a game of pinochle and swapping stories and loved learning about other people.
He was an avid reader and had a way with unique "Buzzardisms" in conversation. He always spoke his mind and often handed out pet names to friends and family. He is at peace with his wife Carol, the "Sunshine" of his life. Their powerful love for each other inspired others throughout their 27 years of marriage.
He is survived by his sisters, Nan Witzel and Anita (Dee) Burch of Roundup, his son Levi Wait, daughter-in-law Laree, grandsons Liam and Keston of Arvada, Colorado, and a large extended family which includes many loving nieces and nephews. He is also survived by Dennis "Penguin" Anderson, his friend for 45 years.
He is predeceased by his wife Carol, his parents Foster and Bobbye Wise, his sister Cindy Wilmot and brother Harlan Wise.
For those of us who knew and loved Buzzard, letting go of him is a bit like coming to the end of a good book; you're happy with the story and the ending, but you're not quite ready to quit reading.
A memorial gathering will be announced at a later date.
