Lee Michael Greiman was born August 25,1952 in Sydney, Montana to Loyd and Lillie (Borntrager) Greiman. He died February 21,2023 at the Billings Clinic Hospital in Billings, Montana. He was raised on a farm east of Bloomfield Montana and attended grade school at the West Pleasant Plains school. He graduated from Richey High School in 1970.
Lee moved to the Musselshell area east of Roundup, Montana in the mid 1980s. Over the years Lee developed a reputation of building log cabins by himself. His first building was a two story log house on his place he named, "Goose Haven", that overlooked the Musselshell River. Three of his cabins did not have running water or electricity. Lee wrote an article that was published in Backwoods Home Magazine called, "A Cabin for One". Sadly, Lee left his last house unfinished. Or as a friend of Lee prophetically wrote years ago that logs are being sawed for a cabin in the sky.
Lee was a man of faith and the study of the Word of God was very important to him. Lee was a kind, caring and generous person. He will be missed by those who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Loyd and Lillie (Borntrager) Greiman, and an infant brother, Peter John Greiman.
He is survived by 3 brothers: David (Kay) Greiman of Princeton MN, Bernie Greiman of Bloomfield MT, and Bill (Cindy) Greiman of Helena MT; by 4 nieces: Lillie Greiman of Missoula MT, Caroline Greiman of Bloomfield MT, Alyssa Greiman of Bozeman MT, and Karissa Greiman (Jeconias) Tserepradi of Brazil; 1 nephew: Nathan Greiman of Bozeman MT; and 2 great nieces: Daniela and Adriella Greiman Tserepradi of Brazil.
Memorial services are being planned for later this spring.
