Accepting Grant Applications

Applications for grants from the Signal Peak Community Foundation are being accepted until September 15, 2023. Grants will be awarded at the October meeting of the Foundation Board to non-profit organizations located in Musselshell County.

The board’s general guidelines for application are:

Grant must be secular, non-profit organizations

Emphasis on infrastructure related projects

Preference for projects where sponsoring organizations covers part of the project cost.

No operating or personnel costs

Grant funds to be spent locally is possible.

The Signal Peak Community Foundation was established in 2011 and has awarded over 3 million dollars in grants to local non-profit organizations including county, city and schools in Musselshell County.

Grants awarded at the foundation’s May meeting were to the Roundup Community Partners, Musselshell County Ambulance, Roundup Youth Baseball, Melstone Community Pool, Roundup High School Agriculture Program, Melstone Public Schools, City of Roundup, Pine Ridge Golf Course and Rodeo Roundup for a total of $158,260.

Scholarships were awarded to Jordan Olson, $10,000. attending Montana Tech, Braedan Bilden, $5,000. attending MSU-Northern, Tyeson Gravenhof, $1,000. attending Northeastern Oklahoma A & A College, Abigail Pitman $1,000 attending North Idaho College, and Anne Anderson $1,000. attending Northern Wyoming Community College. On going scholarships were received by Kaide Griffith, Tanner Rae, Tyler Kombol, Makayla Kombol, Hayley Wagner and Elizabeth Donahue.

Application forms are found on the Signal Peak Community Foundation web site, wwwsignalpeakfoundation.com. Applications are due September 15, 2023. Submit a total of 8 copies of the application form and supporting material to Signal Peak Community Foundation, c/o Sue Olson, 1230 Fattig Creek Road, Roundup, MT. 59072

The Board will meet on October 2, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. at the city office. Applicants are expected to attend the meeting and answer any question the Board may have about their project. If there are questions about the application call Sue Olson @ 406-947-5281.
