The Tree Board for the City of Roundup is in the beginning stages of another busy season. Heser Tree Service from Forsyth is scheduled to begin pruning of the boulevard trees and trees in public spaces next week, the 1st week of April. Pruning will begin on the west side of Main Street north to 8th Avenue West and will extend as far west as the current budget will allow. Only trees identified as good to fair in the 2020 inventory of the city’s trees will be pruned. Trees identified as poor will eventually be scheduled for removal and replacement unless since the inventory was performed, have become a hazard to the public. In that, case they will be removed as soon as possible.
If property owners plan to do any work themselves on boulevard trees, please obtain, complete and return the free tree permit available at the City Office or on Facebook under Roundup Tree Board. This is a tool to assist the Tree Board in keeping the inventory updated.
