Visitor Facilities at the James Kipp Recreation Area are Open

Enjoy early springtime outdoor fun at the Bureau of Land Management's James Kipp Recreation Area in central Montana's beautiful Upper Missouri River Breaks National Monument!

Monument staff worked hard to tidy up after winter, and now all visitor facilities at Kipp are open, including the boat ramp and campground.

Boaters should remember that the water is extremely cold and fast-flowing this time of year. For safety's sake, make sure all boat occupants wear a U.S. Coast Guard-approved lifejacket.

Please, call the Missouri Breaks Interpretive Center at 406-622-4000 for more information. Happy camping and boating!
