Commissioner June 7th, 2024 Minutes
The meeting was called to order at 8:30 by Commissioner Turley. Commissioner Pancratz and Commissioner Goffena were present. Minutes were done by Garilynn Rapp.
Pledge of Allegiance.
Commissioner Pancratz made the motion to approve the agenda as is. Commissioner Goffena seconded. Motion carried.
Commissioner Goffena made the motion to table the approval for the Minutes from May 17th, 2024. Commissioner Pancratz seconded. Motion carried.
Public Comment on the Public hearing on Subdivision Regulations Resolution 2024-19: A resident attended via Go Meeting. We were having technical difficulties with the sound and asked them to call on the telephone since we could not hear them. No call was made.
Public Comment on Resolution 2024-18 on Establishing a CPACE Program. Theresa Doumitt commented that she appreciates the County for adopting for future Economic Development.
Business:
Commissioner Pancratz made the motion to Sign Resolution 2024-18 on Establishing a CPACE Program. Commissioner Goffena seconded the motion, motion carried.
Commissioner Goffena made the motion to Sign Resolution 2024-19 Adopting Musselshell County Subdivision Regulations. Commissioner Pancratz seconded the motion, motion carried.
Commissioner Pancratz made the motion to Sign the Letter to the Montana Department of Commerce Community Development Division regarding the submission of the CDBG Grant application for the County Growth Policy and Capital Improvement Plan. Commissioner Goffena seconded the motion, motion carried.
Commissioner Goffena made the motion to Sign the CDBG Planning Grant Application. Commissioner Pancratz seconded the motion, motion carried.
Commissioner Pancratz made the motion to Sign the Letter to the Montana Department of Commerce Community Development Division for the Preparation of the Growth Policy and Capital Improvement Plan. Commissioner Goffena seconded the motion, motion carried.
Commissioner Goffena made the motion to Sign the Letter to the Montana Department of Commerce Community Development Division designating Michael Turley as the Environmental Certifying Officer associated with the environmental review process. Commissioner Pancratz seconded the motion, motion carried.
Board Meetings:
Commissioner Goffena attended the Water Shed Meeting.
Commissioner Goffena attended the Fergus Electric Annual Meeting. Terry Frost was re-elected, as vice president. He is the Representative for the Roundup area.
Commissioner Turley attended the Hospital Board Meeting. Minutes to come.
Commissioner Pancratz attended the Snowy Mountain Development 2025 Budget Meeting.
All Commissioners attended the MACO Budget Meeting.
All Commissioners attended a Destructive Assessment Zoom conference for the Wier Building.
The Commissioners did claims June 5, 2024. Claims = $121,764.95
Kirk Electric met with the Commissioners to review electricity at the Fairgrounds. He is meeting with an electric engineer to review the scope of work on Tuesday June 11th at 1:00 PM.
Sheriff Lesnik gave his weekly report to the Commissioners. The Sheriff’s office is still looking to fill 1 dispatch position, closing on June 12th, still no applications. Musselshell County has a new deputy graduating from the Academy and another one attending in August. The department is reviewing medication procedures for hospice patients, corner calls.
County Attorney Larsen met with the Commissioners.
DES Director Justin Russell and DES Coordinator Darren Rook gave their update to the Commissioners. Burn permits weren’t in effect for most of the week due to high winds. The department attended the Montana Emergency Management District Meeting. The department received their new vehicle.
Holly Todd Rogers introduced herself to the Commissioners.
There being no further business Commissioner Goffena made the motion to adjourn. Commissioner Pancratz seconded the motion. Motion carried.
