Retired Local Woman Goes Back to College-Receives Nation's Premier Collegiate Honor Society Award

Anni Anderson has decided that retirement isn't for her. At sixty-seven years old, and feeling fifty, Anni has found inspiration to continue pursuing a career that she can work in till she is ready to call it quits. She sought to find something to provide a means for her future, should happen to her husband, as well as doing something that will benefit society. Anni has a degree in business from when she was in college years ago after graduation. It was a three-year college, which she finished in a year and a half. She was ambassador for a business college and major corporations for two years after that. "I believe if you're going to do something, do it a hundred percent or don't do it at all. I don't rest on my laurel's, I get in there and get it done.", states Anni. True to form, Anni began a four-year course with Liberty University that she is on track to finish in two years. "I want to go out of this world making a difference, not just talking about it. I'm not going to be consigned to a rocker for anybody."

Anni chose Liberty University for several reasons. The university has online courses available that fit into a busy working lifestyle. She also says that she preferred it to others because it is a faith-based university that was all-encompassing. Another benefit of the school is the incredibly supportive professors and learning environment, according to Anni. She states that the school helps you every step of the way, from signing up for your needed classes, to helping find financial aid and scholarships.

Anni has been recognized by Liberty University by inducting her into the "Nation's Premier Collegiate Honor Society". Anni has already secured employment for when her course is completed. She is excited about this new chapter in her life, and wants to be an encouragement to others that it is never to late to learn.
