First Year of Summer Camp Brings Fun and Excitement to Roundup Youth

Youth CARES did the first annual camp events for local youth. The youth group, started in 2023 and led by Angie Mozqueda, have been working on providing many activities for local youth. This summer they began the first series of camps, including sports camp, cheer camp, and an arts and crafts camp. Cassie, Kalob and Ayden lead the sports camp, exposing youth to volleyball, soccer, football and basketball. This camp brought kids together to get them interested in staying active and playing sports as they go through school. Jen and Cassie with help from Brittany and Jazmine led the cheer camp where the group learned cheers and dance routines to perform for their families. They also got cheer outfits to keep. The arts and crafts camp was led by Destiny, Selena, Cassie, Ellie and Ayden. The group did acrylic painting, bracelets, clay, stick characters, slime, and tie dye t-shirts. Youth Cares is excited about the summer camps continuing next summer. They hope to have an earlier registration for the groups.
