The upcoming presidential election in November has us all in a state of bewilderment. Both candidates have many issues that are keeping us very defensive in our choice for president in the ballot box. I saw a bumper sticker meme on a pick-up truck that said, Don't Re-elect Anyone. This provocative statement made me think. Just why does our species need leaders? As individuals can't we take control of our own lives and govern ourselves? Since mankind ventured outside of the safety of dark damp caves we have always chosen to have leaders who offer a direction,set of rules, routines and boundaries. Leaders also make followers more secure when any dangerous situations enter their lives. A reliable leader also provides a solid foundation in which to structure our lives and daily routines with a feeling of both security and confidence of our future. Who will you listen to when picking a future president in November? Yourself or a paid lobbyist,media Journalist or relative or even your church congregation? Remember that you can be a leader with the ability to think for yourself. So take charge of who is to govern your life for the next four years.
