Musselshell Valley Community Foundation Launches "Drive to $1,000,000" Endowment Campaign

Roundup, Mont., Sept 4, 2024 – The Musselshell Valley Community Foundation

(MVCF) is thrilled to announce the launch of its ambitious “Drive to $1,000,000”

endowment campaign. This initiative aims to raise $300,000, which will be matched dollar-for-dollar by a generous anonymous donor to boost MVCF’s endowment to over $1 million.

With an existing endowment of $419,000, MVCF has been a cornerstone in supporting the diverse needs in the Musselshell Valley. The community foundation provides annual grants to projects across its five focus areas: community enhancement, recreation and culture, youth activities, natural resources, and community education. Since its inception in 1997, MVCF has granted more than $131,000 to projects to improve the community. In addition, the community foundation provides a non-profit umbrella for community-centered projects, like Roundup Independence Days Extravaganza (RIDE).

The ”Drive to $1,000,000” endowment campaign will enable MVCF to distribute

around $50,000 in grants each year, ensuring long-term support for organizations

that enhance the quality of life in the Musselshell Valley. As a result, donors are not just giving a one-time gift – they are making a long-term investment in the community’s future. And with the dollar-for-dollar match, their contributions will have twice the impact.

“We are excited about what this endowment campaign means for the future of the

Musselshell Valley,” said Derin Gebhardt, President of MVCF. “The community

foundation’s endowment will ensure that we can continue to support a wide range

of organizations that make this a great place to call home for generations to come.”

Community members can contribute to the “Drive to $1,000,000” in several ways.

Donations can be made online at https://www.mvcommunityfoundation.com/ or
