Hired by a local veteran homeowner, Jessie Sellars painted from June to October to create a one-of-a-kind mural. The client wanted to have a bright mural with a reflection of his interest for the Grateful Dead on his concrete fence. Jessie began the mural at the end of May, and worked through the first week of October, painting two to three hours at a time, for two to three days a week. The process began with cleaning the wall, then painting a primer coat, followed by sketching out all the chacters, before ever starting the fun part. She then painted multiple coats in color for the background. “The orange took about five coats.” States Jessie. Jessie and her sister Angie have both painted murals around Roundup over the years. If you are interested in a mural for a child’s room, or any room of your home or outdoors, Jessie is always looking for new projects.
