youth CARES
In the crowded halls, I walk alone,
A shadow drifting, far from home.
Laughter echoes, but it feels so far,
I wear a smile, but it’s just a scar.
Faces pass by, but none seem to see,
The weight of a heart that longs to be free.
Whispers of friendship, like ghosts in the air,
I reach out my hand, but no one is there.
At night, I close my eyes, hoping for peace,
Dreaming of moments where the pain might cease.
Yet silence surrounds me, a heavy gray mist,
In a world full of colors, I feel like I’ve missed.
I’m lost in a crowd, yet all on my own,
A fragment of light, but never a home.
I search for a place where I can belong,
But the music of life feels like a forgotten song.
Each day feels the same, a loop with no end,
Yearning for someone, a kindred spirit, a friend.
But here in this silence, I silently plead,
For a spark in the darkness, for someone to heed.
